Caterham Penske 8700 Series 3 Way After a period of research and testing we are now able to offer a Penske Racing Shocks kit for your Caterham. Our kit is Caterham specific and uses parts from the 8700 and 8760 series to provide a simple to fit, install and adjust package. The Penske 8700 Series 3 Way are perhaps the most universal Penske shock available, Penske 8700 Series 3 Way is used in a wide variety of professional racing applications. In its standard configuration, the 8760 is a triple-adjustable, coilover damper. The 3 adjustments are comprised of a high speed compression adjustment, a low-speed compression adjustment, and a single rebound adjustment.

FORD MUSTANG COMPLETE KIT PENSKE 8700 3 WAY

This is an inverted strut designs that maximizes strength and durability. Because of the inverted style, the inner and outer tubes take all of the side load commonly encountered with strut applications. Typical struts use a large 22mm shaft that is responsible for side load distribution and sealing. Our inverted design takes the side load and distributes between the inner and outer body, while sealing is done with our standard 5/8″ shaft inside. This design maximizes strength, while reducing friction because of it’s small shaft.

PORSCHE 911 COMPLETE KIT (991 TO 997 MODELS) – PS-8365 3 WAY

All front and rear Porsche shocks are mono-tube style. The struts are actually inverted mono-tubes which offer increased installation stiffness over our competitor’s products that use thinner tubing or 22mm thick shafts for non-inverted struts. When the strut is not stiff enough it can lead to binding of the suspension under heaving braking and cornering loads which limits suspension travel and usually requires stiffer springs to combat the issue. Main shaft seal leakage is also a common problem associated with non-inverted struts. Numerous competitors in the Continental Tire Sportscar Series and Tudor United Sportscar Series have switched to Penske for these reasons.
