Porsche 911 - 996 C2 (1998 - 2004) TracTive Three-Way suspension



“TracTive” Three-Way dampers are built to suit drivers that require a high performance system that offers more tuning capabilities. These Three-Way kits are built specifically for Track applications. The kits are engineered for distinctive optimal performance, durability and great feedback for the driver.

The Three-Way damping adjustments provide the driver or engineer with three different damping movements to control Rebound, High-speed compression and Low-speed compression damping. The Rebound damping with 20 adjustment clicks is positioned at the end of the piston rod. The Compression adjusters can be found on the external canister, which is connected through either a hose or a piggy bag construction. Each compression damping adjuster is clearly labeled on the canister to avoid mistakes HS and LS are marked with a – and a +. Every compression damping adjuster has 24 positions. This range demonstrably makes it easy and clear to find the right set-up. All adjusters on the Three-Way dampers work on a clockwise increase and a counter clockwise decrease with the use of a 4mm Allen key or the Tractive adjuster knob.

The dampers are fitted with Eibach springs and have an infinite ride height adjustment, either through the platforms on the shock bodies or through the separate adjusters. Tractive consciously chooses the use of 46mm double digressive, high flow pistons, low friction seals and 16 mm super finished, induction hardened, Q&T CrMo-steel piston rods for all shocks. Shock absorber bodies are made from hardened aluminum alloy to ensure thermal stability and light weight. For McPhersons Tractive uses an steel inverted strut design with 38mm double digressive piston. This design guarantees minimum stiction and maximum construction stiffness by using bearings and components derived from the highest levels of motorbike racing.

All Three-Way Road/Track kits are fitted with specific top mounts. Inverted struts are fitted with adjustable mounts (camber and/or caster) and non-McPherson shocks with solid top mounts.
