Noble M12 CORE ACE+ Suspension
CORE ACE+ Suspension
CORE Suspension by TracTive ACE+ Stand-alone electronically-adjustable shocks have been developed to implement high-tech semi-active suspension in any car.
We prefer the ACE+ damper where a short damper is required to fit the vehicle. As the DDA valve takes up space some shorter dampers must run as an emulsion damper. This performs very well but we prefer to recommend the ACE+ we created. This is adjustable on the display only but has the added advantage of the remote canister to house the gas reservoir and separating piston. A little more installation time but a better end product and performance.
The dampers are fitted with the “TracTive” patented DDA (Dynamic Damping Adjustment) valve. With its reaction time of 6 to 10 milliseconds from full soft to fully hard, it is one of the fastest damping adjustments in the market. It demonstrates tremendous stability and consistency and is rapidly becoming THE technology chosen by high-end OE and racing teams. For every application, the damping level and damping adjustment range is set-up off-factory. It is possible to tune the damping level if required.
The controller allows tuning of the suspension to almost any application by controlling roll, pitch and dive motions of the vehicle. The motion of the vehicle is monitored by a g-sensor integrated into the control unit, which is installed close to the centre of gravity of the vehicle. The program is set up in the factory and can be updated if required.
The stand-alone system comes with a touch screen display that allows the driver to make on-the-fly adjustments, save settings and even make driver-specific setups. The driver can adjust the damping of the front and rear axle in 5 levels, but also the suspension resistance to roll, and pitch/dive in 5 levels. The display can be centrally mounted for easy access. The kit includes a remote knob that can be mounted on the steering wheel.
The hardware of these shocks is identical to the Road/Track kits, except that the manual rebound adjuster has been replaced by the internal DDA valve and a cable coming out of the piston rod side of the dampers. Its components and technologies are used in the highest racing categories, yet its damping range is sufficiently large to allow for comfortable road use these electronic kits are demonstrably valved for both Road and Track use. Each kit is engineered specifically for optimal performance and durability. The dampers are fitted with Eibach springs and have an infinite ride height adjustment, either through the platforms on the shock bodies or through the separate adjusters. Tractive consciously chooses the use of 46mm double digressive, high flow pistons, low friction seals and 16 mm super finished, induction hardened, CrMo-steel piston rods for all shocks. Shock absorber bodies are made from hardened aluminium alloy to ensure thermal stability and lightweight.
All CORE Suspension kits will come with Eibach Springs as Standard.
